SID Centers, Inc.
We aim to develop, encourage, & guide young adults to strive for themselves today & to inspire those around them tomorrow.
Our Beginning
Strive & Inspire Development Centers was founded in February 2018 in Southern Nevada. Our Founder, DeJuwuan Pope, was just 19 years old at the time when the idea of supporting youth came to him around mid 2017. We first partnered with ‘Insight Health’, a nonprofit Organization based in Southern Nevada whose sole purpose was supporting youth in the Juvenile Justice System. We helped those youth with multiple classes such as Financial Stability and Self-Indulgence Stability.
We then got an invitation to support a local high school within Clark County School District in Southern Nevada. From that relationship, the organization grew in ways we could not fathom! We are currently now in multiple states supporting hundreds of students ages 13 years to 23 years old.
“Life comes with so many obstacles. Sometimes too many to fathom. There’s no reason to do it alone.”
— Dejuwuan Pope, FOUNDER
With our continuous efforts, we have supported hundreds of students since 2017. With the support of our mentors, our communities, families, partners, & students we can continue to do so in the years to come!
Our Mission
Here at SID Centers we believe that we all have a purpose.
Our efforts are to use multiple key areas taught by dedicated mentors to enhance the knowledge of every student. We believe that with enough preparation & intellect that our students will be ready to encounter the obstacles ahead of them. We are here to limit the amount of failures that exist within our society. Join us; join The SID Center in making a 'Future full of leaders by encouraging, developing, & guiding the future.
Transitioning into adulthood can be tricky. The things we find normal and easy on a daily basis can be difficult for a young adult to get used to. Studies prove that when a student gets mentored, they are 55% more likely to enroll in College and 130% more likely to hold leadership role careers.
24%
increase in minority engagement
130%
more likely to hold leadership positions
60%
increase in overall social life
The 4 main developmental areas within young adults are,
Physical Development,
Intellectual Development,
Emotional Development, &
Social Development.
During this decade of life, it is a period of frequent change and exploration that covers many aspects of their life: home, family, work, school, resources, and role.
The process of becoming an adult is more gradual and varied today than in the past. Young people take longer to achieve economic and psychological autonomy and early adulthood experiences vary greatly by gender, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, and social class.
